Aims & Objectives

  1. a) To establish a democratic and constitutional government of Kenya within the framework of a pluralistic democracy.
  2. b) To fund County governments in all counties and continue to increase County Funds as the economy grows. The aim is to make County Governments self – reliant and deliver reliable and effective services to their residents. 
  3. c) Enhancement of Devolution shall be given priority.
  4. d) To pursue and protect Civil, Political, Economic, Religious, Social or Cultural Rights and Freedoms of the individual and groups inter
  5. e) The right of life and human dignity, just trials and fairness before the law. In a KPP government there shall be freedom of living, owning property and employment at any location in the country. 
  6. f) The right to own land shall be equal to all.
  7. g) KPP shall protect the right to freedom of movement and association, thought, conscience, peaceful expression, the right to participate in public affairs, and the right to work and enjoy favorable working conditions. 
  8. h) To pursue and promote the rule of law and the separation of the powers between the three arms of Government, namely: the Legislature, Executive, Judiciary and County  
  9. i) KPP shall campaign for practical implementation of the Bill of Rights enshrined in the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and any other law.
  10. j) To ensure the repeal of all unjust and oppressive laws and promote law reform in accordance with the principles of natural justice.
  11. k) KPP shall look at the laws and make them operational in real life situations. Especially when National stability is at risk due to wrong influence by careless power hungry  
  12. I) To pursue the provision and improvement of health, education and welfare services so as to raise the standard and quality life of the people of Kenya.
  13. m) To encourage and promote a strong co-operative movement managed and controlled by the members.
  14. n) To enhance the cultural life of Kenyans in all spheres of National Development.
  15. o) To promote the protection of all justly and rightfully owned properties. Protect utilities, natural resources, i.e. the improvement, management, and conservation of the environment and responsible utilization of all land,

 

  1. p) To create political and social awareness among Kenyans in all Public matters, issues and policies with a view to enhancing and maintaining a just, open, peaceful and democratic society. 
  2. q) To support local and international organizations or groupings aimed at achieving rapid social and economic development and innovation.
  3. r) To campaign for an East African federal government that includes Somalia and Sudan among others.
  4. s) To advocate and promote respect for the 1979 United Nation Conventions for the Elimination of all forms of discrimination against women i.e. to guard against all forms of discrimination against women, and to ensure that such practices are  punishable by law. 
  5. s) To pursue, promote and protect the rights of workers in their demands for just salaries, commensurate with their labor contribution and in line with the costs of  

t] To promote the welfare of all persons in need. 

  1. u) To respect the right of all persons to participate in the political process.
  2. v) To promote politics of reason and patriotism.
  3. w) To respect and promote human rights and fundamental freedoms;
  4. x) To strengthen the rights of workers to negotiate freely with the employers, and the right to make industrial actions to be sane and reasonable.
  5. y) To promote African Unity, East Africa Community, regional and sub-regional co-operation and integration.
  6. z) To work with regional political parties and pressure groups that support the advancement of the African people and the creation of an African Government.

 

  1. aa) To advocate, promote and comply with the United Nations International Bill of Human Right, the African Charter of Human and People’s Right and the Convention against Torture and other cruel, inhuman or Degrading Treatment and any other  internationally and locally recognized democratic conventions. 

bb)To nominate party candidates in respect of the Presidential, Governors, Senators,  Parliamentary, Women and County Ward Representatives’ elections or any other elective position.

  1. cc) To establish County Branches, Location/Ward and sub-locational / ward committees in all parts of Kenya and

dd)To establish Party Congresses of women and Youth. 

  1. ec) The Party shall establish and manage the National assembly, the Senate and County Assemblies caucuses. .The Party NEC together with its members of Parliament, the Senate and County Assembly shall draft Bills and petitions to be presented to those  houses for debate or action needed. NEC shall draft rules and guidelines to be  followed by members of those houses while drafting those Bills and petitions. 
  2. if) The Party must be informed of all Bills and petitions drafted by members of these 3 houses before presenting the documents to the relevant houses and their outcomes. This means that anything done in the name of the Party the NEC must be informed  and in good time to discuss any changes the Party would prefer, recommend or reject. 
  3. gg) And establish any other organ needed by the party from time to time.

 

  1. a) Any citizen of Kenya who is eighteen years old and above and who accepts and adheres to the objectives, programs, directives, the party code of conduct, internal rules and discipline of the party, shall be eligible to be a member of Kenya Patriots  Party – KPP 
  2. b) Every membership shall be approved by NEC before it is granted. And thereafter each year the membership shall be approved by NEC.
  3. c) Persons with proven disabilities shall be given free membership but subject to individual request and approval by NEC.
  4. d) Members of special interest groups shall get membership individually.
  5. e) Eligible citizens may apply membership either directly to the Party or by sending an email to the Party or through the Party website or blog. Like it is with all other membership applications every online membership registration shall need approval  by NEC through its. Organizing Secretary (OS) who updates the register accordingly.  The OS informs members who lose membership in accordance with this constitution. 

The Party Headquarters shall oversee the recruitment of eligible Members  country wide and also in the diaspora. 

  1. f) To be a member one must read, and promise to respect and fully support and defend the Party Constitution while observing and implementing the Party manifesto, code of conduct, Party regulations and rules of engagement, tasks and the current and future  obligations of membership. One cannot be a member before reading the current   
  2. g) Honesty and unwavering royalty to the Party shall be a must while joining the Party and while one is a member. The entire Membership shall remain subject to approval by the NEC. Branches shall in consultation with the National Secretariat  recruit new membership in their branches pending approval by NEC. 
  3. h) Each member of the party shall pay fees as otherwise determined by NEC from time to
  4. i) Membership cards and certificates shall be issued by NEC each year of subscription as per this constitution.
  5. j) Receipts of Subscriptions paid to the Party shall be deposited with NEC.
  6. k) Members paying their membership via banks and any other money transfers outlets and companies shall deposit their receipts of the deposit with NEC before membership is approved and granted by NEC. 
  7. I) A member must pay money subscriptions, contribute and support the party financially, technically and materially as per this constitution and when called upon to do so. A member is a registered and a paid up member every year unless one is  exempted by NEC in writing. 
  8. m) It’s an obligation for a KPP candidate who wins or is nominated to a scat in a General Election to contribute a monthly sum of not less than 10 percent of the money one is paid as salaries and any allowances combined. Payments start immediately and one is  paid the first salary and allowance. Arrears are not allowed. 
  9. n) All winners of the following seats are included in the above obligation:, the President, Deputy President, Member of Parliament, Senator, Governor, Speaker, MCA, any KPP member who gets nominated to a scat and any other government appointment follow the same rule as above. 
  10. o) Failure or refusal to contribute the said amount is considered as defiance and disciplinary measures by the Party disciplinary Committee who are Members of NEC led by the Secretary General shall take place immediately. Found  having violated the requirement may lead to expulsion from the Party membership.
